What Is The "See More" Glitch?

If you've recently updated to Windows 11 version 24H2, you might be encountering an unexpected behavior in File Explorer. The familiar "See More" menu, typically accessed with a right-click or the three-dot icon, is inexplicably jumping to the top of your screen, making it difficult to use. This issue can be particularly frustrating in full-screen mode where menu options may vanish completely.

A Simple Workaround

Fortunately, there's a straightforward solution. By switching File Explorer to windowed mode, you can easily access the "See More" menu and regain full control. To do this:

  1. Locate the square icon in the top-right corner of the File Explorer window.
  2. Click on this icon. This will minimise File Explorer to a windowed state.
  3. Resize the window as needed to comfortably access the "See More" menu and its options.

A Temporary Fix While Microsoft Works on a Solution

While this workaround provides immediate relief, Microsoft is actively developing a permanent fix for this glitch. In the meantime, this simple adjustment can help you maintain productivity and avoid unnecessary frustration.
