Can’t find what you're Looking For in Teams? This makeover will Make It Easier

Microsoft Teams is set to launch an update aimed at creating a more organised experience, complete with a centralised notifications hub and several new tools to enhance productivity.

Does juggling conversations, alerts, and channels in Teams sometimes feel like chaos? Microsoft has a solution on the way—a streamlined design to consolidate key notifications within the Chat section. This will serve as a one-stop location for all your primary interactions and updates, making navigation much smoother.

Among the highlights of this update is the introduction of an “@mentions” view. This handy addition compiles all your direct mentions and messages in a single location, ensuring that crucial notifications are easy to spot and respond to.

Enhanced filtering options are another welcome change. These allow you to fine-tune your notifications, filtering out less pressing updates and letting you categorise conversations by project or topic. This tailored organisation will help you stay focused on what matters most.

There’s also a new “favourites” section to pin your most-used chats and channels for quick access. And looking further ahead, threaded conversations are anticipated to roll out by mid-2025, simplifying how replies are grouped and making discussions easier to follow.

These features are being rolled out across desktop, Android, and iOS platforms, so teams can enjoy the benefits of these upgrades no matter where they’re working.

If Teams isn’t yet part of your workplace toolkit, now’s the perfect time to explore its potential. Interested in getting started? Reach out to us—we’re here to help.
